As a lead pastor, I (Steve) was passionate about engaging our church in international work. Whenever one of our people expressed a call from God to invest in international ministries, or to serve on the frontlines of global need, I got all excited. My problem was that I didn't have enough bandwidth to competently steer them towards a good fit.
As an executive leader in nonprofits, I (Josiah) was passionate about engaging as many people as
possible in serving the nations. My problem was that our organization I was serving had a very specific
focus and could only place people with very specialized skills in a very small number
of places. It broke my heart every time I had to turn away a called and gifted person,
just because our organization didn’t have enough places or roles to connect them to.
Because Compel Global represents many organizations with hundreds of opportunities all
around the world, we can help you get connected with an opportunity that’s a good fit for who God uniquely wired you to be.
We believe that missions mobilization is an act of spiritual discipleship. Therefore, we view prayer as our top priority and commit to it regularly.
We believe that God calls, churches send, and we help. We believe that God has given the Great Commission to the Church.
We believe that each Jesus follower is uniquely equipped for specific good works prepared in advance for them. Personal calling matters.
We believe that mobilization is a matter of stewardship. When God brings us individuals called to His global mission, we see it as our sacred duty to respond promptly, with integrity and compassion.
We believe that our mission is fixed but our methodologies are fluid. Therefore, we are willing to pioneer untested ideas and foster a culture of experimentation.
We serve our client agencies as they seek to find vetted missionary candidates. We are extensively trained by each client agency we represent, so that we can mobilize missionary candidates that specifically align with their roles, values, theological framework, and mission strategies.
